lucky for me, i am able to reschedule my life and see the final show at the wiltern on the 10th. i'm done. please don't quote anymore of my posts. i win.

Sorry, I couldn't resist but what an idiot.

so, since some of us are trying to figure out how to make this happen, could NIN cut us a little slack and post full information regarding the re-scheduled shows? Info like, when/where we need to line up and get tickets(wristbands), doors open/show start etc. I fully respect and appreciate what you guys are doing here and have done in the past, but it is going to be a pain in the ass to pull this off and i want to go in as prepared as possible. Please assist.

i can "empathize" with those of you unable to re-schedule this upcoming week to attend the show(s), but, life is cruel and un-fair at times, when these tix went on sale, fans from all over the globe were trying to snatch 'em up,... somehow, i got 8-28 @the arragon thru q101,(love my t-shirt n poster, btw!!!) and saturday's show??? the ticket stub has my name on it, with the nin blue emblazened logo, that is framed, and the memory of being "railsided" at a super intense show,...when the singer was not 100%,...i just hope that those who were gonna make it to the cali- shows, have seen you b4, because if they haven't ever seen you perform, then they have no idea what an experience a live nine inch nails show is all about,...i still smell the sweat of all the pigs who were all lined up,..."doesn't it make you feel better?"...

Of course it's fine if you are upset you can't go (who wouldn't be?) - but it's how you deal with it that shows your character and what kind of person you are.

LOL! I said he should go back to bed earlier today then I felt like an idiot because I remembered there is no reason to get out of bed to go online. I <3 my MacBook. That said... Trent, enjoy your browsing but please put it away when your head starts to hurt from the monitor glare or from reading this thread.

I'm tired of people judging me for being sad about missing a show, and I wasn't a whining bitch calling for Trent's head either - I wish him well and I hope the last shows are awesome.) So, my thoughts are now deleted and I give up on this board. Seriously people - you need to actually know a person and/or situation said person is in before hurling insults. It's not only common decency, it's respect.

So that's it - out, done, over.

OK, Leo. Do you mind if I ask what the purpose of this thread IS, if it isn't for bitching and whining about some extremely negative NIN news? Are we all supposed to jump for joy and kiss Trent's ass because he cancelled a show? Let's get this thread back ON the rails, just let me know what you think those rails are supposed to be.

1) I flew in from out of town for tomorrow's show
2) I can't make the rescheduled date
3) Fucked up, but fuck it
4) I'm glad Trent was able to reschedule and throw down for those who can make it
5) Have a great time, all you lucky bastigis
6) See you at the come-back tour!

NEW FAREWELL SCHEDULE FOR LOS ANGELES:9/6 Echoplex (unchanged)9/8 Henry Fonda (rescheduled date)9/10 The Wiltern (rescheduled date)

OMG. My boyfriend is a HUGE NIN fan and was so upset that I couldn't get the time off for the shows in LA. We went to the Gorge and got to meet Trent and the band who were incredibly GREAT and what an awesome thing they did for Eric...RIP!!!

Now, with the rescheduled shows we can make either the Henry Fonda or Wiltern dates. I'd LOVE to surprise him with some tickets especially the 9/10 show at the Wiltern because he means the world to me and NIN means the world to him.

If ANYONE can help, I'd appreciate it GREATLY!!!

09/05/09 12:04 AM

OK, let's think positive. I might be able to help a fellow NIN-fan out.

If you happen to live in, or near, San Antonio, TX and you want a round-trip flight to LAX leaving tomorrow at 2:00pm and returning Sunday at 1045am, I have a helluva deal for you. I also have a hotel room (single King bed) at Sofitel in Beverly Hills if you need it. Cheap I tell you! Just PM me. And I have a rental car available too. Cheap!

Oh yeah, and if you need 2 tickets to the Wiltern NIN show on 9/10, I'm your man! Only problem is that you'll have to have the same name as me (with ID) which I guess is unlikely. But lets talk!

Pretty sure the purpose of this thread is to let people know of the new schedule of shows...no cancellations, just rescheduling to try accommodate as many people as possible. Yes, there will be people who won't be able to attend now because of the new schedule, but...that's life. Deal.

I was towards the back, and there would have been no problem with a good camera. Can't speak for up front though, but it didn't seem too crazy. But, that was also the biggest venue for the LA dates.

It depends where you want to stand, but the pit was pretty intense. If you were standing directly in the middle/in front of the stage then you'll have the life squeezed out of you. I almost passed out. So when I moved more to the side I got dragged into a mosh pit(which was AWESOME!) I haven't had this much fun at one of their shows in... um.. EVER.

The best part was that the place wasn't packed to the teeth. Plenty of room to move around between standing outside the pit, on the balcony, or in the pit. And the other LA venues are smaller than the Palladium, so I can imagine how even more intense they'll be.

So yeah, depends where you stand =)

if any of you attended the previous shows in LA or NY, when did you have to arrive for your tickets?? I have tickets for 9/10, but have never received an email with the "special" instructions. I have to take time off from work and drive out from Phoenix, so i have to plan this timing perfect as possible. Any help and info you can provide would be greatly appreciated. I am willing to sacrifice whatever it takes to go to this show, I don't care!! This is going to be a piece of history I won't miss!!! Thanks again Trent and co. for making it up in good form.

See you at the wiltern!!!

We got our tickets like ten min after they opened the doors. It was quick and easy. You don't have to get the tickets early unless you want to rush the stage or get the free giveaway.

Yeah, unless you want to be right up front, getting the tix was easy. I think they were only giving away a free NIN button at the Palladium, just because it was so many more people than at other venues (they were encouraging people to pick up tix early).

I'm very interested in finding out more info about the released tickets. I don't have any tickets to these next shows and need to work around my class schedule for the time they go on sale (if that's happening!) to possibly buy at least one and to change my plans for the next week. I'm dying to attend one of them and would love to know!

BTW are there specific posters made for the LA shows? I've seen the one for the whole "Goodbye Tour", but that's it.

Thanks!

Awesome! Do you by any chance know if they were in limited numbers at the Palladium show?

09/05/09 1:04 AM

Hey Trent,

If you're still reading this stuff - can you allow us to exchange the names on the tickets so people can trade. I am in Los Angeles for this weekend for the Wiltern show, and would love to trade tickets for the Echoplex show so I can go to a show. I completely understand that you're trying to avoid scalping, but this is a special circumstance, and it is especially special since there are no more shows after this.

Also, I don't think anyone is mad about you getting sick, but a Saturday show initially meant that people could come from out of town, so by moving that show in particular, the most dedicated fans willing to spend the most amount of money for travel are probably going to be excluded. Anyone working a normal job not in Los Angeles could only attend that Saturday Wiltern show. Something along the lines of rescheduling the show for another Saturday about a month from now would have allowed people to regroup and make alternate arrangements at less expense. However, I'm sure there are many other considerations that I don't know about.

Either way, allowing us to exchange tickets would be awesome, since I'm sure some people with Echoplex tix would like to go to what is now the actual last show, and I would like to go to any show at all.

I'll take the cheap one. The last time I was in a pit was at the Palladium for a Rock for Choice show with Rage and Eddie Vedder, 15 years ago when I was in college. I'm expecting a similar crowd to that show: 95% decent people but way too many in a small space hot space. The last 2 big shows I went to (Forum and the Cricket thing in Phoenix) had a lot of 30 somethings, so I'm operating under the assumption that I can still handle a pit but I'm not dressing up for this one.
