I'd just be happy with an SE along the lines of the one for The Downward Spiral. The Fragile is my favorite album, but I don't think it's completely necessary to have a shit ton of extra material added to it. Give me an excellent new mix of the album, some B-sides and remixes, and maybe a little bit more, and I'll be a happy camper.

holy shit, how hard is it to re release an album... weve been waiting for too long and trent said it would be early 2010. the only possible explanation is that hes packing it to the brim with goodies. everyday that passes, my expectation are rising.

anyways, id like to see a dvd with a bunch of fragile era songs played on the wave goodbye tour, like those on stage recordings by rob sheridan. also some fancy packaging. i never understood the art behind the orange stuff on fragiles album art.

well, I really dont think this was the first thing on his priority list, and he probable was planning on doing it in the time he gave to the social network score inbetween the HTDA EP and the forthcoming LP and whatever NIN stuff hes been mentioning. face it hes a busy guy, now with the rumors of the YZ mini series who knows when he'll really get to sit down and tackle this.

I would like to see a vinyl version of the album in Compact Disc format, except Ripe [With Decay] left intact instead of just Ripe by itself. Also, B-sides from The Fragile-era would be cool added in there somewhere as bonus tracks or on a 3rd disc. I'm down for paying good money for this masterpiece re-release, haha. But whatever Trent Reznor decides in the end is cool too I suppose. After all, he is the mastermind behind this album in the first place, he knows what would sound best.

then it wouldn't be a reworking. if you want a piano improv, listen to "The Frail." live additions played 10 years after the record was made usually don't make it into the re-release (e.g. the Dissonance version of "Eraser" wasn't thrown onto the TDS DE).

that's a pretty unreasonable desire/expectation. the deluxe releases are about keeping the original intact (or, in this case, deciding which sequencing TR wants for the "final final" version).
